Mr. Tom Dingeldein is the Director of Bands and Music Department Chair for Riverside Preparatory School. He earned his Bachelors in Music and Cultural Studies from Ohio University and a Master of Arts in Education Degree from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to coming to Riverside Preparatory, Mr. Dingeldein was the Music Director for Cobalt Middle School in Victorville. The Riverside Prep Band program was extremely successful during the school’s first year of operation, and it has developed to an even greater status during the second year. Last year, the Marching Band participated in two Christmas parades, which included taking 1st place at the Adelanto Parade. They also played at Maverick’s Stadium and competed in the Music in the Parks Festivals, where the high school took 1st place and the middle school took 2nd place. In addition to student performances the music department implemented the RP Performing Arts Series, which has brought the RCC Jazz 1, Dr. Hayes form Ohio University, Cal Baptist Concert Band, Matt Zebley from The Brian Setzer Orchestra and Zzaj to the Riverside Preparatory campus for performances and master-classes. Mr. Dingeldein has truly outdone himself this year for our Winter Wonderland! The students sounded wonderful! We congratulate and applaud him for his service and dedication to the students of the Oro Grande Elementary School District and appreciate his efforts to make our program the jewel of the High Desert.
